Description

In this role, the Business Development Representative (BDR) will work closely with quota-carrying sales and marketing professionals at Lume to ensure the company’s continued rapid growth. The BDR’s responsibilities will include sales development, lead generation, inside sales operations, field marketing, data management, as well as other sales, marketing, and customer service related work.

As a BDR, you’ll play a highly visible and vital role in achieving our growth and revenue goals. Your goal as a BDR is to generate and follow up with leads to produce qualified meetings for our sales team that will result in new clients and revenue.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities via outbound prospecting including cold calling, email, and LinkedIn
  • Research prospects and target markets
  • Create and manage top of funnel leads and activities
  • Schedule highly qualified meetings for Account Executives by promoting Lume’s solutions and services
  • Manage inbound Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and proactively respond
  • Collaborate with marketing, support, sales, and product teams to facilitate new programs, messaging, campaigns and offerings
  • Meet monthly and quarterly revenue goals and metrics
  • Attend local field marketing events and some out of town events
  • Ensure inbound requests and opportunity handoffs to sales are successful
  • Manage CRM data and provide accurate metrics and reporting

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivator who can think on their feet
  • Competitive drive and strategic mindset to exceed revenue targets
  • Ability to engage quickly; a consultative and confident approach is key with an ability to overcome objections and communicate value in a concise and informative manner
  • Previous experience in the technology space is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, LinkedIn, and other prospecting tools
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
